CHALLENGE DESCRIPTION

Our client, a major life science player, is considering launching a think tank on social impact and sustainable healthcare. Suggest the best way forward in terms of structuring the think tank, its mission, organization, budget, expertise, and operations, taking into account the upside/downside and risks with choosing one approach over the other.

Discuss what specific areas of social impact and sustainable healthcare the think tank could aim to influence in the first three years of operation. For instance, should the major focus be on areas where the client currently has strong expertise, or should the initiative be used to explore new areas? How should the areas be picked? Should decisions on focus be made using internal consultation, external surveys or both?

For this project we are looking for a individuals to join a small team composed of a variety of professional backgrounds and perspectives, ranging from private to public sector, think tank, public health, policy, and other experts of various experience levels, consultants, medical personnel, industry professionals, technologists, communicators, academics, government, and IGO/NGO-personnel with insight, or access to leading think tanks in healthcare, sustainability, or otherwise relevant to the task. A minimum of one of the team members is expected to have strong project/consulting management experience.

NB: The max. compensation per team member is $5000 up to a max of $10,000 if the challenge is awarded to a 2 person team. Whilst they/you are free to compete to join and contribute to the team solution, no government officials or practicing physicians may receive payment as part of this project.
