Yegii's ranking systems

How do Yegii's asset rankings work?
Yegii's ranking system is simple: assets are ranked on a 100-point scale. Overall ranking is based on how experts rate an asset's Quality, Influence (in its field), Reliability (asset/author/source), Uniqueness (of data/info/insight) and Popularity (hits/downloads). Algorithms are subject to change.

Does Yegii rank only free assets?
We rank both free and proprietary assets. You can choose whether to include proprietary assets in your search. You can determine the exact hourly price range you want to include when searching asking a question or contracting for an in-depth analysis. Yegii is useful whether you are on a budget, have no budget, or if budget is of no concern to you.

What methodologies can Yegii's experts deploy?
Yegii's experts are ranked explicitly based upon their skills in the following business/market analysis methods: Benchmarking, Case study, Competitor analysis, Finance Modeling, Marketing Strategy Modeling: (4Cs, 4Ps etc.), Operations Strategy Modeling & Supply chain, Organizational analysis, PEST(LE) analysis, Scenarios, Sustainability analysis, Systems thinking, and SWOT. You can [contact Yegii] to suggest other top methodologies that should be included. Otherwise, each expert will list additional methods skills based on keywords.

Why do Yegii's experts not appear under their full name?
Yegii believes that knowledge is best created in a market where knowledge as demonstrated in a real competitive scenario is the main differentiator and identifier. Yegii's relative anonymity provides a more efficient way for experts to market their skill, beyond brands, company/school affiliations, geographical location, and network. Yegii believes that innovative edge is equally important as formal expertise and experience. On Yegii, you only have a first name. Your ranking is determined by how you perform on Yegii--nothing else. Only in the final stage of an open innovation competition to solve a client's business challenge will an expert's identity be revealed to the client so that the client can make a fully informed decision about the true winner based on the additional information provided by knowing an expert's cv.

Do Yegii's experts use proprietary information?
The use of proprietary trading information as defined by SEC is strictly forbidden by Yegii. Yegii experts who are suspected of such behavior will be blacklisted and if upon further investigation Yegii's staff find there is more than reasonable suspicion, most likely their profile will be deleted. All Yegii's experts are encouraged to reference their information sources back to public or verifiable sources that can stand up to scrutiny. If an expert makes use of information under license, say a proprietary research report, they should do so only if they have the lawful, paid subscription to such a report and are allowed to use it for commercial purposes.

What is Yegii's compliance regime?
Due to the 2011 crackdown on an expert network with questionable, or even non-existent, insider trading policies and guidance, Yegii has a strong compliance regime and a restricted universe of experts. Experts are asked for two references who can be contacted before the client enters final stage of a competition or before any payments are made. Yegii is developing guidance on regulatory compliance for its expert network and will make it required reading. Yegii sources its experts carefully. Only top ranked experts who are found credible, trustworthy, and compliant with insider trading policies, will be allowed to enter the final stages of any Yegii competition or enter into any kind of exclusive, independent contractor relationship with one of Yegii's clients. Another of the safeguards Yegii deploys is to keep Stage I of a competition open so all experts can see each others' entries. Any questionable methods or analysis should be detected by, literally, a thousand eyeballs.

What contract, if any, is signed between Yegii and the experts?
The experts are independent contractors and sign a contract to that effect. They must also accept our Terms & Conditions including specifically asserting that they have the permission/right from their current employer(s) to take on expert/consulting engagements. They also have to assert that they will generally act with ethical fiber and not counter to insider trading policies of the US or EU governments specifically.
