Cracking cancer is among the most ambitious goals of contemporary medicine. We have never been closer. A tremendous amount of innovation is ongoing. I'm finally at the epicenter of it all, and in a position to help shape it, at least in some small way. This is no coincidence. Here's why: cancer is personal. For me, and for millions of others, I might add, cancer has a personal twist. In 1997, as I was a 24 year old student just getting ready to take on the world's challenges as an adult, I grew old in one month...but in 2016...cancer is cracking at the seams...tools have changed...meets startups...and global crowdsourcing of brainwaves.
