He is Founder & Principal at a Canadian consultancy that provides technical global health expertise & evidence-based public health & management advise to organizations around the world. He is Public Health Advisor & Principal Investigator at a globally renowned initiative focused on improving access to essential medicines by leveraging the Coca-Cola supply chain. His work has been highlighted on the CBC, BBC, Business Week, Development Asia Magazine, TED, & very recently with a Transformational Business Award in Health from the Financial Times & International Finance Corporation. He was also a recipient of a Grand Challenges Canada Rising Stars in Global Health award. He is a member of the UN Innovation Working Group, serves on the global Diarrhea & Pneumonia Working Group, and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at a leading Canadian university SPH & Health Systems. He also was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of a renowned Institute. After completing an internship with an IGO in India, he started his career in management consulting with a global consultancy’s Healthcare & Life Sciences practice and then served as a Sr. Health Advisor at the Canadian International Development Agency (now DFATD) where he advised on investments in areas including tuberculosis, malaria, as well as Canada’s work on the G8 Maternal & Child Health Initiative (Muskoka Initiative). Some highlights from his past work include: -Ad-Hoc Committee for the Affordable Medicines Facility – malaria (AMFm) representing Global Fund constituency of Canada, Germany, & Switzerland; co-chair of the Equity Working Group; -Key role in establishing the global TB REACH Facility with the Stop TB Partnership focused on innovation in increasing case detection -Steering Committee for the Global Health Research Initiative (GHRI), a research collaboration of the GoC His current interests lie in the areas of global health delivery, health systems, multi-sectoral partnerships, innovation, & child health. He holds a Masters of Public Health (MPH) from a US university, a BSc in Health Studies & Gerontology from a Canadian university, and will be completing his Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) from a renowned US School of Public Health next month.
